Tenure researcher at the University of Bologna. Research experience at: Universities of Sydney and Adelaide, Australia; MBA, UK; University of California Santa Cruz, USA (tot >3 ys). She is teaching Ecology, Marine Habitat Ecology and Applied Marine Botany for the Graduate/Master Diplomas in Biology and Marine Biology at Bologna University. She is currently supervising 2 post docs, 3 PhD students, and 8 undergraduate students. Coordinator and/or PI in several (inter)national research projects (THESEUS, MarUrbe, MarBEF, NaGISA, BIORES, EcoGovernance, DELOS). Editorial Board member Marine Ecology Progress Series, Diseases of Aquatic Organisms and The Open Oceanography Journal. Research focuses on: experimental marine ecology; marine urban ecology; risk assessment, biodiversity and conservation.
